We were born at the legendary Orson Welles Cinema just outside of Harvard Square in Cambridge, MA. 2027 marks our 52nd anniversary, and yes, we are the longest running genre fest in America. We have weathered fires, blizzards, and pandemics. We have witnessed the days of VHS, the reign of DVDs, the emergence of cable TV, and the challenge of streaming videos. And yet we have not only survived; we have thrived.
It is our commitment to science fiction storytelling coupled with the support of filmmakers and patrons that has made this so. That is what the Orson Welles was about. That is what we are about and that is what we will always be about. All you have to do is look around and know, THE FUTURE IS NOW.
