S1 E5: SciFi TV: The New Golden Age

Back in the day, science fiction on television was all TWILIGHT ZONE, OUTER LIMITS, the original STAR TREK, and if you really pushed it, MY FAVORITE MARTIAN.

These days the plots are intricate, and smart. These days the shows push boundaries no TV show has pushed before. These days it is the reboot of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. These days it is the edgy,THE EXPANSE. These days it is a throwback STRANGER THINGS. These days it was once unfilmmable FOUNDATION. Oh, did we mention how incredible the SFX are?

Boston ScIFi takes a deep dive into the how and the why we are seeing and experiencing so much great TV. Listen in. The Future is Now. The Golden Age of TV is Now.

Joining MC Michelle Barbera is Den of Geek's TV maven Michael Ahr and MIT Tech Review's Erin Underwood.

Michelle Barberais an artist, comedian, producer, and writer who lives in the Boston area with her husband, 4 children, and dog. He has since gone on to have a forty year career writing and producing TV series and movies in Hollywood. He is best known as the writer/producer of SPIDER-MAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES and co-writer of the cult comedy film CLASS ACT.
